Regional Contacts:
For administrative purposes, the Gild divides various geographic regions of the U.S. and Europe into Marks. In regions in which the Gild has many members and in which there is more than one operant Gild Hall, a Mark Steward may be appointed to serve as primary contact for the region as a whole.
Within individual Marks there are 3 kinds of groups in which Associates and Initiates of the Gild may gather.
Gild Halls are gatherings of Initiate members of the Gild (Learners, Fellows, Masters, and Drightens) convened for the purposes of group esoteric teaching and ritual work. Halls represent the Gild in an “official” capacity and sometimes (though not always) involve themselves in “outreach activities” (offering specific workshops or classes to the public, taking part in festivals, publishing newsletters, etc.). Gild Halls often serve as the public face of the Gild in the world at large.
Runa Workshops are groups composed of beginning Initiates (Learners/Apprentices) and dedicated Associates who are geographically distant from an existing Hall or sponsoring Rune Master. These Workshops are convened for the purposes of study and practical work with the basic esoteric teachings of the Gild. They provide support for Learners in regions where no Gild Hall as yet exists, and offer community for serious Associates who are seeking face to face contact with others of like mind.
Runa Study Groups are composed of one or more Associates of the Gild and possibly interested outsiders, convened to informally explore key concepts and ideas related to the Gild. Their interest is primarily philosophical and theoretical in nature. Study Groups encourage wide exposure to fundamental Gild ideas, and often function like a “book club” assembled to study one of our publicly available core texts. Although they are sanctioned by the Gild, they are not official bodies and do not represent the Gild publicly to the wider world.
