A new book, Primordial Chaos, written by Dave Lee is a collection of old writings and accounts of spells done in public, with a new commentary on each piece. It’s an attempt to weave together the strands of a magical life — chaos magic practice, psychedelic experience, energy work, Northern magic, and the group work done in the various communities involved.
Chaos magic is alive, evolving and changing, and is now more relevant than ever in a world gone mad with ‘conspiracy’ nonsense. People are stepping into magical thinking but with no critical perspective to keep them grounded. Chaos practice provides a multi-model approach to magic, and to experience in general, providing a beacon of sanity in this ‘post-truth’ world.
Dave Lee was a founder member of the first ever IOT group in the British Isles, together with Ray Sherwin and Pete Carroll. He is still an active member of the Magical Pact of the Illuminates of Thanateros.
