Statement on inclusivity and membership in the Rune Gild

As an initiatory School, the Rune-Gild is dedicated to fostering all souls who resonate with – and who seek after – the mysteries embodied in the Runes and their related spiritual praxes.  We are – as our Drighten has said, and as we have always been – an inter-tribal network.  Those who approach our doors may differ in ethnicity, gender, sexuality, class, ideology, and culture.  None of this matters.  What matters is our single-minded devotion to seeking the Mysteries through the various pathways associated with Germanic tradition.  We expect rigorous study and practice regardless of matters of identity, and we do not assume that one’s ethnic or cultural background either qualifies or disqualifies one for membership. Attempts to hijack the Runes for extremist political, religious, social, or racial ideologies are misguided and the Rune-Gild stands against such simplistic approaches. Those who have heard the whisper of the Runes will come seeking entry, and those who have truly heard will be answered with an open door.
